Romanticize your Wellness
This week I wanted to talk about the idea of romanticizing your wellness routines, and your life. If you are a person who never wants to actually burn the candles, take the time to steep the tea, or allow yourself to use the fancy cushy yoga bolster, it's time to listen up!
Wellness rituals, just like any other life tasks can start to get boring quickly, or they can feel like a chore, and once that happens you start to lose the enjoyment that makes "your time" so special. So here comes the idea of romanticizing your wellness routine. Taking ordinary moments and taking just a few seconds to turn them into something extra cozy and enjoyable can make all the difference. Here's a few ideas to get started:
1) Light candles during mealtimes
2) Put battery operated candles or cozy lights for ambiance around your yoga, meditation, prayer, journaling, or reading areas.
3) Buy and actually use the nice cushy bolsters and meditation cushions to make your practice feel more comfortable and lux.
4) Practice mindful eating while watching a candle flame.
5) Play soft relaxing music in the background while you tidy up your home or cook.
6) Get the NICE pens and beautiful notebooks for journaling.
7) Make stovetop potporri to fill your home with lovely natural fragrance.
8) Put essential oils on your wrists and inhale deeply throughout the day when feeling stressed or overwhelmed.
9) Use the cute and fancy mugs and glasswear to drink your beverages out of.
Romanticizing your wellness doesn't have to be expensive, it's just taking a few extra moments to set yourself up for a more enjoyable experience. What are some ideas you have about ways to romanticize your wellness?
